Get your design juices flowing in this super simple to sew quilt.

It’s all about the fabrics… so spend the day with Lynne and she will guide you through your fabric choices to make a stunning quilt. Let’s play with colour and scale and plan a quilt with your own personality.

It is a simple quilt to sew with large pieces of fabric and appliqued diamonds. The day will be spent choosing fabrics, arranging them throughout the quilt and cutting. We will sew one or two of the large sections in class but you will leave with a plan for the entire quilt top.

Students are limited to 8 as a large part of the class is spent helping to choose each class members fabrics and having everyone involved in the process.

Requirements
Quilt measures 1.5m x 2m (60” x 80”)
• 50cm each of ten different fabrics. All fabrics should be at least 110cm (42”) wide
• Choose mostly large scale prints and one or two of a medium more condensed design.
• Bring what you have to class and be open to playing with other fabrics from the store to compliment your selection.
• Rotary cutter, mat and ruler. Please bring your large mat rather than a small one and 24” long ruler.
• Tape measure, pins, scissors, thread.
• Template Plastic
• Sewing machine. Please make sure your machine is in good working order.
• Quarter inch machine foot if you have one.
