Wendy has been working in the quilting industry as a designer and teacher for over 15 years. In 2014 her first book was published called ‘Wild Blooms and Colorful Creatures’. With a background in fashion, and a degree in adult education, Wendy now teaches quilting all over Australia and internationally.
Wendy is passionate about quilting and trying new ideas. She strives to keep her designs fresh and new, and she designs with the knowledge that her patterns need to be achievable by all.
Wendy's quilts and patterns incorporate a variety of techniques including wool applique. She aims that her work is achievable for all levels of quilters and stitchers.
If you have one of Wendy's patterns or kits in your stash or wish list, accelerate it to the front of the queue! Wendy will gladly offer advice and expert guidance on any of her projects that participants bring with them to this class.
Wendy supports and encourages her students so that everyone, no matter your level of experience, can achieve beautiful results. An experience not to be missed!

Class materials:
A selection of Wendy's patterns and wool felt will be available at Makerie. Students should bring to class everything they need to work on their chosen quilt.
Helpful information:
- The class will be held in our classroom at Makerie 5/100 Barrier St, Fyshwick ACT.
- Morning and afternoon tea provided.
- There are many local options for lunch around the shop. We recommend visiting Theo's Café and Buffet a few doors down.
