Description
New Canterbury has been designed in Karen’s favourite, and best-known, quilt style – medallion. Starting with a hand stitched English paper piecing medallion centre, the quilt radiates out in a series of divine borders featuring 1 inch hexagons and delightful Ohio Stars, as well as piecing combined with EPP. The Quilt has been designed using Karen’s newly released reproduction fabric range, New Canterbury. Featuring lovely florals, stripes and ditsies in sweet pinks, mauves, warm coca browns, teals, lilacs and creams, they will transport you to the elegance of days past. Karen’s inspiration for her fabric designs come from traditional quilts from the 1800’s. Her increasing love for antique English quilts and a connection to her English heritage are shown here in New Canterbury.
The finished quilt is 170 X 170 cm.
- The BOM quilt comprises 6 parts - a centre block surrounded by 5 borders with one section released in each of the six issues (Quilters Companion Issue #116 on sale July 2022 and ends Issue #121 May 2023).
