Description
Introduction to Ravelry class at Makerie
Wednesday 13th December 2023, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Ravelry is a community site, an organizational tool, and a yarn & pattern database. It's a great resource for knitters and crocheters, but it may not be immediately obvious how to make the most of all of the available features.
During this two hour session, we'll start off with a demonstration of Ravelry's, specifically focusing on how to search for patterns. We'll also go over signing up, buying patterns, and managing your library, as well as organizing your favorites, queue, projects, and stash. We'll briefly touch on the social aspects of the site, such as groups and forums.
The second half of the session will give you a chance to try out Ravelry yourself and ask for help with any specific features you're interested in.
To make the most of this session it's suggested that you bring along your own iPad, tablet, laptop or phone. We will have two iPads available for use if you are unable to bring your own device.
