Sometimes it’s nice to send a like-minded friend a small but personal gift. In this work shop we work on a postcard or a bigger project which can be framed or send in the mail.
I will show you several ways to get started and share some ideas of how to finish the edges.
By the end of the workshop, you will have ideas for at least two different postcards. One will be an image to embroider, the other will be a collage postcard.
A kit will be provided to get you started. The kit will have one image to embroider, enough calico for both projects and some stiff interfacing.

Students should bring:
- Hand sewing equipment, scissors, needles etc
- Cutting mat, quilt ruler and rotary cutter
- Scraps of fabric (Makerie's scrap box will be available for your use.)
- Scraps of lace and ribbon, small buttons
